Now, MAGA Republicans in Congress, with Shri’s help, have passed ultra-weak regulations on crypto, setting us up for the kind of financial bubble that can repeat 2008 and devastate Detroit.
Shri Thanedar has invested millions in campaign cash in crypto. He voted for so much of Trump’s crypto corruption in Congress that ‘Stand With Crypto’ gave him an A rating for “strongly supporting crypto”.
Now, while MAGA crypto industry SuperPACs spend millions to re-elect him, Shri is secretly trying to cash in. Shri bought tens of thousands in crypto stock for personal profit, and broke the law by failing to disclose it.

Last quarter, 2/3 of Shri Thanedar’s campaign cash came from AIPAC, the far-right pro-Israel lobby that helped fuel the genocide in Gaza.
Thanedar has accepted more than $740,000 from pro-Israel PACs and megadonors (as of the latest filings).
Last cycle, two AIPAC-aligned PACs, United Democracy Project and Voters for Responsible Government, spent more than $2.3 million to boost Thanedar’s campaign.
It’s a simple exchange: Shri’s campaign gets propped up by big checks from the genocidal Israel lobby, and he votes to send our tax dollars to Israel for the bombs destroying Gaza.

Shri even lied to constituents, claiming not to take corporate funding, all while taking checks from corporations like General Dynamics, Honeywell International, and Google.

DTE is failing Detroit — jacking up our rates, failing in emergencies, and leaving Detroiters stuck with no power at random and without compensation.
Our Congressman should be holding DTE accountable, not taking their checks.

Abandoned Dogs
Shri Thanedar owned a pharmaceutical testing lab in New Jersey, where he experimented on monkeys and dogs.
When it went bankrupt, Shri simply left the animals to die.
Volunteers had to rescue the animals, saving 118 beagles & 55 long-tailed macaque monkeys from Shri.
When he ran for office, the Humane Society condemned Shri for his neglect of animals.
